It's been a bit quiet on this page lately, so I thought I'd start a new thread. I'm going to be finished exams On the 10th of May this year so that gives me 4 months of summer to enjoy. I'll be staying in cork this summer hopefully getting a job, I applied to fota so I'll see how that goes.
What's everyone else's plans for the summer?

Man i'd love to go back on a j1 this year but I spent all my savings last summer in Chicago, I wasn't able to get a job. Why you choosing Miami over the normal places, it's an interesting location, won't be that many Irish heading there.

Well, throughout my childhood I've been to Chicago, New York, LA, Vegas, San Fran, Phoenix and even Salt Lake. So it's the one major place I haven't been to that's different! How long were u over there without a job? Did u end up being an illegal alien? And did your friends get jobs easilly?

I was there legally had my visa, but towards the end ciee my sponsors were telling me to leave as i hadn't found a job. So after two months i had to return anyway to resubmit a project. Most of my friends found jobs, but it was hard we got there early we thought but there was so many Irish people there most of the jobs were taken when we were looking for accommodation.
