I was working on my farm last night between 12 and 1 and was amazed at the amount of whistling accross the sky. It was relentless and quite noisey at times. I could have stayed listening all night as there was'nt another sound to be heard. They seem to be heading in a north south direction. Sadly they dont breed around here anymore so I guess they were heading for the bogs of Offaly and such places. You certainly wouldent think they were endangered, I could still here them after I went to bed. Anyone else hear them these nights? Hope its nothing to do with storms. Im in south Cavan.
