Hi All, Does anyone know if recent ACA graduates (within 1 year of finishing a training contract) are eligible to apply for the year long J1 visa to the US?

I asked USIT this last year and they said no I'm afraid. They said newly qualified accountants and solicitors used to be eligible for the 1 year graduate visa but not any more.

There is a new visa available this year for people with 5 years experience or a degree with at least 1 year experience.. It's listed with the usual j1 visa companies.

It looks like your eligible for that as it includes finance as an allowed industry.
