I borrowed one of these from a lad here in work and I plugged it in.It worked then the screen died and its no longer working--cant figure it out--I reckon its fecked..

Its an OBD Can T61 is the model number.

Would anyone have any idea where I could get one in a hurry in Ireland (Ive ordered one from China but delivery is 3-4 weeks and that one on amazon wont deliver to Ireland)

You didn't plug the scantool into a Volks / Seat / Audi / Skoda that was fitted with an aftermarket radio??

Yep--the screen is lighting up ie I can see the backlight but no writing on the screen.

Nope it was actually a Hyundai. It scanned the first time and deleted the codes but all I did was plug it in again after changing a sensor and it stopped working.

It may not be even something I did but I have to replace it for this lad as it happened on my watch!!!

On second glance it's model T51 and yours is T61.
Have you tried it on a different car? Sometimes the fuse for the dlc socket can blow but unlikely if the backlight is working.
