Stone chips - repainting or other options

I've a few stone chips on the bonnet, you can see the white stuff under the paint. Are there any waxes that might cover these for a few weeks at a time?

    Or any other options?

    - quick repair?
    - touchup paint?

How much for properly repainting bonnet and front and back bumpers on an E60 BMW?

Coloured waxes will cover stone chips (I use turtle wax, but there are many more brands), but expect no miracle. ;)

Car is carbon black, any recommended waxes?

What I usually do is get a spray can matching my car's colour, I then spray some of this into the spray can cap and use a toothpick to fill in the chips with the paint in the cap.

Almost the same as above, except not from spray can, but a bottle mixed up from a paint shop.

There are kits available from the likes of Chipex and Dr. Colorchip
I've been told that the Dr. Colorchip's kit is far more user friendly, and have seen the results of it on a car, and its quite good. Needed a bit of a sanding back and polishing, but they blended in quite well!

Obviously, the only proper way is to re-paint, but the above options will take the nasty white spots away...and less of an eye sore!

I'd go to main dealer and get the exact colour for touch up paint and laquer in a small bottle type and brush.

    Try this:

As I said, expect no miracle - it'll hide stone chips for a while, but they'll appear again.

Even if you paint a bonnet, you'll still drive your car after that, so sooner or later you'll see chips on it. ;)
