commercial property rates for martial arts club

    just looking for a bit of advice on commercial propterty rates. i'm involved in a martial arts club (don't want to name names) we are in the 1st year of renting our own premises and have just received a rates bill :mad:. can anybody give me a bit of advice on this, is there a way of getting out of paying, is this for sports clubs.it's hard enough to do what we do without these pricks looking for this.
    any advice would be great
