    Hi,

    I have a song with the following Chord sequence: A, Em, A6, A, D, B/D#, A, F#, B7, E7... Etc

What would be the appropriate mode to play over this?

You'll have to change between modes. The simplest thing you could do, in my opinion, would be something like this:

    A, Em, A6, A - A Mixolydian. Also E Dorian.
    D - D Major
    B/D# - B Mixolydian
    A, F# - A Mixolydian
    B7, E7 - E Major

You could do more than that and it starts getting complicated.

Just to note. These modes ignore the A# of the F# chord and the D of the E7 chord.
