Is anyone else in the ballot for this year's Eroica? The closing date was last Sunday, but there don't seem to be any updates on the website, and I haven't had an email to let me know if I'm in or not.

Myself and a couple of lads at work are in the ballot. Haven't heard anything yet. The website is a bit vague in that it just states that the ballot will be after the 3rd March. Will post here if I get any response from them.

946 is cutting it a bit fine! I'm in the 300s so waiting on my email now.

Just booked my flights and hotel. Flying in to Rome Ciampino (which is surprisingly near Rome, given that it's a Ryanair airport). The only good thing about Ryanair is that they have a 30kg bike allowance, which is handy when your bike weighs nearly 20kg.

They have changed the wording on the Website to confirm that the first column is in deed your position of your name in the draw.

In a few days 1,000 foreigners (check your position in the first column on the left) will receive an e-mail with instructions to complete their registration within fifteen days.

If the application process is not completed within the given period or if the e-mail entered at the time of pre-registration is no longer valid, the right to complete the registration will be lost.

Where there is a shortfall, the organization will draw additional pre-registered participants in the order in which they are drawn and send them an e-mail until the number of participants set for each group is reached.

I imagine they're getting a few emails, particularly from the non-Italians, trying to work out what's going on.

The odds are very much in our favour for getting in. 1000 out of 1400 foreigners get in, but only 1500 out of 3600 Italians.

Got mine today as well. A bit of Italian translation required and no idea what my SDAM login details were, but all paid up now.

Had the bike out for a spin today. Back brake needs a bit of work, but other wise in good shape. Can't believe how heavy it is having been on a modern bike all winter.
