Nord Stage 88 keys - how to choose MIDI output channel?

    Hi all,
    I've a gig at the weekend and the keyboard on the tech spec is a Nord Stage 88 key. Is this the correct procedure for selecting a MIDI output channel? I don't have access to one to test it.
    • Hold the Shift and Extern button.
    • Use Page + key to get to Extern MIDI A/B channel
    • Use the rotary dial to select a new channel

    Is this correct?

    Does it output to the channel once selected with the dial, or do I *have* to press Shift again to select it before it will output to the new channel?
