ROS Digital Certificate won't load

We changed our system to Windows 7 since I did last return & have had to apply for new digital certificate to do ROS return.
Revenue have sent out new password but when I try to retrieve digital certificate nothing happens.
The problem is with JAVA -I've installed latest version (no 17) & followed all the Java help instructions for clearing temporary files etc but no luck. When I run the 'system compatability' check through the ROS page it's coming up that Java is installed but not enabled. When I got talking to ROS helpdesk, they suggested that it was our firewall, but even with bringing that down to medium, it's still not working.
If anyone has had this problem with their digital certificate and has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you loading through Internet Explorer? Try a different browser

Hmm ... Firefox never works for me either.......

In Internet Explorer - can you go to Tools - Manage Add-ons

Check is Java enabled - and the right version

    Hi.
There seems to be a problem with Java.
I have installed the latest Java update.
I have tried all major browsers and portable versions, but none work.

    Security issues with Java again.
This is a problem with www.revenue.ie as you cannot login without Java.

I'm relieved to read this, thanks for post, Wine gums.
Several attempts and screen shots and hour long phone calls later, we are still trying to get Java loaded properly:mad: Ros technical support are on to it, so fingers crossed.

This thing still doesn't work most of the time. Here's an idea: Develop a page that can load a certificate without using Java.
