Hello, any help would be really appreciated!

I got an abscess on my tooth 2 days ago, I went straight to my dentist and am now on anti biotics.

It's hasn't burst or gone down yet and I have to go into work tomorrow. My face has ballooned up something terrible and the pain is immense... I work on reception also, I know I will look awful :'(

Any help on how to get the swelling down or speed up the process? I have been rinsing with salt water all day, and still on the antibiotics.

    Thanks

The cause of the infection is one problem, most likely a dead tooth than now requires a root canal or extraction.

The swelling is the most important issue now. Has the swelling increased despite being on antibiotics for 2 days?? If so, you possibly need to be seen again to consider increasing the dose or changing the antibiotics or adding another antibiotic, possibly drainage of any pus too....
