Hi,does anybody know of any online guides for installing a fence like this
    http://www.timbertrove.com/18m-6ft-concrete-base-slab-160-p.asp

or even what pitfalls should I look out for?I can't seem to find anything online.

Postcrete for the pillars.....Dig a hole about 16-18 inches deep....make sure the pillars are level and true when you postcrete them into place.

Leave postcrete to set for around 20-30 minutes.

A small firm, level bed of hardcore or sharp sand to rest the concrete base on.

    Slot in the fence panel.

    Job done.:)

check out coolquay concrete on n2 near ashbourne for prices;);)

set in first post in a dryish mix of concrete, compact down concrete around post with short bit of 2x4 wood. set in last post as above. set up a string line, tight, along top front of these. roughly work out next hole and dig as paddy says 18"" deep, or more(24") if you dont have a concretesaw. set in first panel to slot on first post, place second post upto other end of panel, now the tricky bit, get the 2nd post level off the string line. get it level both ways and add concrete as per above. continue each panel exactly the same.Last thing of the day check posts are level 1.8 apart (so you can get timber to slide in).Let concrete set, then next day slide in fence panels.

    tips.
allow appox half a (full man size) wheelbarrow per post. 3/4 bag cement per barrow. 8/9 wheelbarrows = 1ton of batch gravel.
    forget about post crete.
if you have the concrete post 5/6 inches higher than the timber panel it looks ****. level is good.
    hope this helps
