Is there sports specific sun creme that doesnt sweat off really quickly, sting your eyes etc? Or will a bottle of Ambre Solaire do the job on the bike on a sunny day?

P20 works well. Or any of their ones.

Piz buin mountain won't come off easy. It doesn't go on easy either. It's very thick and your face will be a bit white. Any of the high factor sludgy ones won't sweat off too readily but it's best to reapply if you think it has come off.

I am OCD about suncream and only ever use SPF50 or one's designed for kids.

As for not stinging, I think they all pretty much sting to certain degree. Wear a cycling cap or a head band to prevent the sweat rolling down into your eyes. And don't rub it from your face into your eyes accidentally.

I used Ambre Solair last year for the Sean Kelly 100km and I got myself a lovely tan on my legs and arms :)

I used P20 on a foreign holiday a few years back and although it was good for protection, it stained any white clothes I was wearing when I sweated.

I'm using the Tesco one, but not the creme, the spray. Never had any problems

I cycles through an Arizona summer using the aerosol type SPF 70, a few different brands. It's not the most pleasant feeling, it's like have a fine lacquer applied but it works.

I find the Piz Buin Allergy SPF 50 great as far as high factor creams go. Not as sticky, or heavy feeling as some of the other high factor sun creams out there. I hate kids sun screen, used a Nivea for kids SPF 50 in France last year and it just made me feel like a big sticky mess, left a really thick film on the skin, which wasn't pleasant. The Piz Buin was a godsend in comparison!

I've used the Piz Buin sport aerosol in SPF 30, but never in really hot weather, as I'm always a little way that I'll miss bits with it. Burned back of knees doesn't appeal while cycling.

I find the smell of Ambre Solaire can be a bit annoying, and it stings the eyes a bit more as a result if it gets near/in 'em.

I've been using this stuff for the past few years one bottle a year does me. Not cheap but a little goes a long way it doesn't smell and is the most waterproof sun stuff I've ever worn ie one application in the morning on hols and it lasts for the day and doesn't sting the eyes either. Down side is tho, I can't get it over here anymore so have to wait till I go on holidays

Parasol is good for cycling, easy to apply and is not sticky.

+1 for the Parasol, nothing annoys me more than stingy eyes when sun cream runs from your face into your eyes - Parasol is great for not running into your eyes when applied to the face. Also a nice non-greasy consistency when applied generally.

Reimann P20 all the way. I won't use anything else since I started using it a few years ago.
I do fortnight-long kayak trips to the Alps or Pyrenees and I've found that once I properly apply in the morning I do not need to apply again that day. I've not found that it stings with sweat - even though I may be on the water for a few hours I'll often be quite warm and beading sweat on my head.
I've also used the P20 when cycling in France, as well as on any ordinary sun holiday I've been on. Important to remember to put on half an hour before it's needed, to allow it to bond properly with skin. The new formulations are a lot less likely to stain cotton, especially if you wait before putting the t-shirt etc on.
