What the story with Friends Reunited? It seems like a dormant site with no activity and very hard to navigate. Is there any value in using it? Is it on the way out?

Why don't you ask them what they think of boards

All the friends met up, realised why they despised each other and drifted apart in the first place. They won't be back again.

I think Facebook has more or less replaced it now.

I will for sure. Shall I tell them you sent me? Will they know you if I mention your name?

I've been on it since it started.

It seems none of my friends have internet yet. :(

I was on Friends Reunited before Facebook took over the world.

Have no need to look at it anymore.

I heard Monica and Chandler fell out with the others so it's not going to happen.

It started out as a nice idea back in 2000 and had some 15 million members at its peak. I used it back then and got back in contact with a few old university buddies thru the site.
In 2005 it was sold for £130 million to ITV.
That is when they tried to turn a popular site in to a profitable site and failed miserably. You had to pay to contact others on the site and the site was ad heavy and hard to navigate. In the mean time Facebook took over the world.

Plus they kept sending out emails to members trying to get them to use the site more and pay for services.
In 2010 the site was sold for £25 million.
It was valued at £5 million in late 2011 and is probably now worth a fraction of that.

    Rest in peace.
