    Hi

My boy was getting issues with abscesses apparently caused by the adult tooth growing down over the baby tooth - it's happen twice so far.

Were referred to an Orthodontist who said issue is that there are not big enough gaps between the baby teeth to allow the adult tooth come down.

He has suggested a two year treatment of braces which will widen the gap between the teeth, top teeth only for 3,500 - does this seem excessive?

Are there cheaper options available out there, I'm told that NI could be far cheaper.

Anyone have any experience of this?

    Thanks

    Paul

Please be aware that braces in a growing child will require around 15-20 visits for adjustment and wire changes. That much travel and time off will far outweigh any saving you make going to the UK. 3500 does not seem excessive but it depending one your child's requirements.

Find a orthodontist close to you child's schools, its by far the handiest. Most orthodontist allow staged payment over the course of the years of treatment.
