I got the sony xperia P before xmas as an upgrade and an after 30 days from purchase screen black out stop working, return to shop and because it was after 28days couldnt get replacement so they sent it off for a week. leaving me without a smartphone but still paying for data etc..

since then I have handed the phone in to eyre square galway branch 2 more times, and they sent away for a week.

The phone just backed out again tonight, same thing for forth time. surely I am entitle to a replacement or better yet a different phone altogether at this stage. I have been a loyal customer over the last 5 years, always paid by direct debit. but this really isnt good enough.

Its not fit for purpose, demand a refund.

Whats probably happening is they're sending to to fonmenders who are a complete joke of a service centre and often send stuff back without repairing it.

    thanks guys

however took it in store today, they said its nothing to do with them, and take it up with sony. even though this is the 4th time in 3 months I have been left without my new smartphone.

Do I have a case here. should I mention small claims court maybe? all i want is a replacement because this device is obviously extremely faulty..

Not correct. You paid Meteor with for the phone so your contract is with them.:)

ring consumer affairs or go to website for info.

from what i've seen you can demand a repair/replacement/refund from the person that sold the product. you deal is with the seller not with manufacture. ring consumer affairs and they can advise you of your rights.

Anyone else anything to add. really not accepting another repair even if this ends in the small claims court

    Repair
If you request a repair of a faulty product instead of rejecting it, it should be a permanent repair. If the same fault occurs again, then you should be entitled to a replacement or refund. If you are not happy with the retailer’s offer to repair the item, you can reject it. But if you do this, you may have to use the Small Claims process if you want to take the matter further.

Remember, the retailer may charge you for the repair if you have been responsible for the damage to the product.

Tell them you'll write to the NCA if they dont issue you a full refund on the spot, might kick them into gear.
