    Hi all,

I've looked without success for an MP3 type player which has the same features as a podcast app on Android i.e. find the podcasts you want to listen to, automatically download the latest episodes over wi-fi, keep X episodes on the device, delete episodes after they are listened to, automatically re-start the episode you were listening to when the device was powered off or the headphones were plugged out etc.

I have all this functionality on the Pocket Casts app on my phone but I'm looking for the same functionality on a small portable device which I can clip onto my shorts when running.

    Suggestions anyone???

    Ben

I use BeyondPod, think it fits what you're looking for.

I'd be interested in something similar myself in the event that my current device failed, partly to try something other than an iPod.

You might have better luck talking to the folks in the Headphones & Portable Audio Devices forum.

Maybe a second hand iPod touch? There's a great app called Instacast which will do all of that.
