I am looking at getting a car van, but stumped at whats out there. Am I forgetting anything?

    Ford Focus
    Citroen C4
    VW Golf
    Peugeot 207

What other car vans are widely used?

For what it's worth I had a astra van upto recently 1.3 cdti. It grand apart from being almost dangerous slow. If looking at the astra only look at the 1.7 diesel. I now have a focus 1.6 tdci van 2007 I only have it two weeks but it seems to be a good van overall alot more powerful to drive than the astra and that says alot considering a 1.6 focus isn't exactly fast.

I have a c4 van and I love it. They're fairly fast for 1.6. It was faster than my friends 1.9 petrol focus, plus if you were so inclined you could get another 30% power out of the engine by remapping the ecu. very economical if you drive it that way. 1200km on a fill.

As a van its not ideal though. Because of the way the back narrows in the boot opening is fairly small. Depending on what you want to transport that could be an issue, I'd say the opening is just over 30".

What sort of budget do you have, the Kia Proceed was available as a carvan but they are thin on the ground and not cheap.

The 207 and golf are different classes, its the 308 you need to look at.

Do you mean a 307 van I don't think a 308 van was ever sold I've never heard of one anyway.

As has been suggested in this thread, a kia pro cee'd is about as reliable of a van as you will get.

You can get the five door version cee'd in carvan form aswell and they can be got cheaper than the pro cee'd.

Another very reliable carvan is a 02-07 corolla.
