Useful little initiative from the RSA. Free backpack Hi-Vis, I think they're quite handy things, stuff it in the bag with the lights when going to college.

Or else put it on the bag itself ;)

The RSA already has a web page, but they require you to log in to Facebook to view this. Muppets.

I've ordered mine now, no point in spending €20 on a branded one :)

Btw, how will cyclists make themselves stand out when everyone will be wearing hi-viz? :pac::pac:

Only when everything in the entire world is painted luminous yellow can we consider ourselves truly safe.

I just heard now from a friend in Greece that in order for them to partake in a brevet they must wear hi-viz gilets, wtf...

Which seems ok, given that day-glo is of use during times of poor visibility. It's the implicit notion that drivers can't be expected to see cyclists wearing normal clothing during times of good visibility I find pernicious.

I always knew society would shun me because I don't use facebook, but now my life may be in peril because of it.

Damn you to hell Zuckerberg, damn you to hell.

(I was thinking about joining Blanch wheelers too, but the only way to contact them is via facebook)

    Resistance appears futile

You can join the blanch wheelies by emailing them at blanch.wheelies@gmail.com. We hope to have a website up and running soon. Hope this helps.

Mine popped in the letter box this morning completely forgot all about it so had no idea what the postman was knocking for. They're not bad actually.

I, for one, can barely make out other cars when I am driving. I would regularly smash headfirst into walls, buildings, trees, and parked vehicles. Naturally I am not at fault as all of these things just fade into the background greys, browns, greens, and other cars. This cannot be allowed to continue.

I will mount a campaign (possibly on face book!) to stop the insanity.
'Like' if you want to stop things (all things) not being painted day-glo yellow.
'Dislike' if you can discern rudimentary shapes and have an abilty to perceive depth of field and moving objects.

I can't find the dislike button, it needs to be luminous.

You didn't notice the 'Deny responsibility for the actions your own brain makes you carry out' option either.

It was written clearly in ultra-violet text under the 'Dislike' option.

    In your face, visible wavelengths!

Got mine today in the post.

They also sent a box of them out to us in the school after I rang them. We're raffling them off for the kids who cycle on Wednesdays.

The kids seem to like them too.
