Would I be overstepping the mark

Have been put forward for a job by an agency, the woman at the rec. ag. is actually really good (the one and only recruitment person I have ever actually liked and respected), she has got me 2 jobs previously over the last 8 years, the job is in a company I previously worked in (she got me that job), the thing is, there has been no news in almost 3 weeks now, she is calling me saying 'no news' so it's from the actual company. It's a huge US company and I know the HR dept are completely useless in general, I know who it is working for and it occured to me to contact him directly via LinkedIn, it then occurred to me I might piss off the agency lady and I don't want to do that, but it's frustrating waiting this long and I'm actually desperate for a job and there are no other jobs on the horizon at the moment.

Would it be worth pissing her off and contacting him directly or shall I just wait (and possibly wait and wait)?

Call into the office see her directly and ask her and tell her the position your in as well, waiting around got no one anywhere in life

Do not contact him directly, you'll really piss the agency off, as it could look like you don't trust/believe the agency and what they are telling you.

Big MNCs can move at a snails pace, it's not unusual to wait weeks for feedback.
