Working while on BTEA

Hi I have started a part time job doing about 8 hrs a week. I have been told that I will not be taxed on what I earn (about $10 an hour) is this true?

Yes you can work as many hours as you like while claiming BTEA and it will not affect your payment as long as it does not interfere with your course. Good luck with it.

But you will be taxed like a normal job but nothing will be taken from your BTEA payment. Sorry I misread I thought you were asking if working part-time will affect your BTEA payment. If that is the question then the answer is No.
