Argus Edison 2in1 combo dead/dying

    Hi,

I have an Argus Edision 2 in 1 combo box. A while back, the sound started going out of synch with the picture.

I don't use the TV myself personally so not sure how long it has been going on for and if it has gradually deteriorated but was asked to look at it last night and both the sound and pic were garbled badly and the box wouldn't respond to the remote.

Turned off, disconnected and reconnected all and still getting the same result.

Funny thing is that if I remove the input (digital and terrestial), the menus work fine.

The other thing is that there were a few coins in the box which I have taken out so that is probably at the root of the problems.

Someone mentioned that I should try a factory reset and upgrading the firmware so I may as well try that. Just wondering if anyone knows where I might get instructions on the firmware upgrade - the box isn't connected to the internet but I believe I can use a USB stick.

    Any help appreciated.

I did a post on here a while back and uploaded a file with channel list and firmware. its not officail firmware but works a treat. that remote is tricky as it can control a few things, ie 2 remotes, look closely and make sure green is selected ie rc1.
