    Hi folks,
Really confused at the moment. work trip at the end of the month and am in the market for a new camera but too many choices are confusing me.

I only shoot photos, Video has no interest to me.
    So choices are...
    NEX 6 kit - $999
    Pentax K-01 with 40mm - $399
    Fuji X20 - $599
    Olympus EPL5 Kit - $599
Panasonic GX1 (BODY) - $300 thinking of adding the 20mm or even the 25mm
    OMD kit - $1050
    Pentax K5 - $859

Now I know they are different camera types but just wondering about bang for buck value where image quality is most important feature with fast auto focus.
I shoot landscapes and need quick focus for the Nieces and Nephew.

    Budget is $1000
    - I like the NEX 6 but lens choices are not great. Expensive too.

    - K-01 seems like an absolute steal at the price, could pick up some nice primes too

    - Fuji x20 Looks like a beautiful compact camera and reviews should be out by the end of the month. (So one to watch)

    - Olympus EPL5 Kit , Same sensor as the OMD and could add some nice Primes for the price.

    - GX1 , again a cracking price for the body so could get some lovely primes to bring it up to 1k.

    - OMD kit - looks like an excellent camera but is the most expensive and not too sure if I'm bothered by the lack of a viewfinder on the EPL5.

    - Pentax K5 - fantastic camera and a great price at the moment. Not bothered about the size if the image quality is right.

The other options I have are getting both the GX1 and EPL5 as the lenses with work on both. Or picking either of the GX1, EPL5 , X20 along with the K-01 ?

Nice problems to have :) but help me please lol

    Hi,
I would pick your lens that you will want to use over the next 10 years or so and the cam choice will follow.

I have the panny GH2, and am very pleased with it. But I do mostly video. The micro four thirds lenses are good quality and range, but pricey.

    The OM-D.

Well I would say that seeing as how I have one, but I did choose it for good reasons. The image stabilisation is insane. I can manage 1.3 sec exposures. It's almost like having a built-in tripod.

I don't know if you can swing it, but here's the latest deal, in the States at least, on the GX1: $259

    http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-DMC-GX1-Compact-System-Camera/dp/B007EUO2F8

I shoot m4/3 exclusively, and with the Pan/Leica 25mm and the Oly 45mm, you would have the best bang-for-the-buck rig I can think of.

    Thanks for your comments guys..
Ya the GX1 at that price is a simply too cheap not to snap up..
My trip has fallen through till next month so might have to pick up the K-01 in the mean time or X20 if that's available.

But I think I'll go for the GX1 with 25mm might be my street camera/ People camera and then the K-01 with some nice primes for my main.

I think I'll wait a few months too and pick up the x100s on the fuji refurb site once they start coming in.
