    Hi,
I have a Popcorn hour (A.110) and it plays 90% of stuff, but can be annoying when some media files fail.

Is there a good reliable media player that plays everything ? Surely VLC media player is hardwired on some media player out there ?

I was thinking of a Raspberry PI but on investigation it's supposed to stutter a bit on 1080p.

Or i might just attach a laptop to my system, what do you guys do ?

    Thanks ..

I'd love to know the same thing.

The options I have in my mind for myself are:

    1. Popcorn Hour A-400

    2. TVIX HD M-7000

    3. Build my own and install something like MythBuntu etc. I would prefer the Linux route as it is to my mind more efficient than Windows OS's. I have Lubuntu on an old PC at home and it zips along. I have built a few PCs over the years and work as a Software Engineer so building and mucking about with Linux distros doesn't bother me but I wonder would this option cost more and how would the interface stack up to options 1 or 2.

Sorry OP, more questions than answers in this post! :)

I find the Western Digital TV Live box is very good for movies and music. I use a PS3 on the main TV and it plays pretty well whatever you throw at it.
    Both do netflix too.
