People who report people who don't pay car tax

any you guys come across this??? a work colleague of mine and i were on lunch one day walking to subway when he seen a parked car with no tax on it he started taking the reg down and rang the police i was baffled by all this and had a massive arguement with him over it..dont want to tar everyone with the same beehive but…
