Hobbies! You need hobbies for times like this.

I broke my leg a couple of years ago and would have gone mad if not for reading amd videogames. Two things I love to do anyway.

Did get stir crazy a bit, but thats unavoidable.

Forgive me for pointing this out, but you seem a bit over reliant on work to fill your day? Maybe see this as a reason to give yourself more 'me time' and finding non work related things which interest you?

Aw, I hope it mends soon.

Please try and curb the overeating junk or you're going to just put on weight which will make you feel even more rubbish about your situation. Try and load up on nutritious foods, particularly high fiber ones that will get things moving if you're not able to exercise!

I absolutely love reading so if I was in your situation I'd order myself a load of really good books from Amazon and immerse myself in them - you're never lonely with a good book!

You could also take up a new hobby. Something that you've thought you'd like to try but haven't had the time. So it might be time to give creative writing or knitting or oil painting a go.

I think the op is saying that with a fractured right arm - humerus - knitting and so on is a bit out of the question! Though you did some pretty good left handed typing there in your post:)

However you still have two legs = more dog walking. Are there any museums, art galleries etc you could visit? Are you handy for a bus service? Don't you have a wedding to plan :D even if the planning gets put to one side so you can get back to work, it would be nice to make notes and look at magazines.

Have you ever done jigsaws - since you were a child? Crossword puzzles, suduko, word search - even left handed you should be able to do them. Start a blog? Wedding plan blog? If you have an evil sense of humour you could even do a bridzilla blog, see how many people you can get to rant at you :D

Are you on top of your pain medication?

    Don't go without.

Walk, walk, walk in the morning.

Catch up with friends for lunch.

Watch box sets of good TV shows.

if its painful and doing head in having the one hand to type, set up the built in windows speech recognition software [speech to text] which allows a user to control the computer as well as write posts for example using their voice, this is how to set it up on windows seven-
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/set-up-speech-recognition

if post a list of interests am sure we can come up with accessible ideas based around them.

Even if you don't use it to type it will result in huge hilarity trying to find an accent it will recognise!

Why can't you work? I've a fractured hand at moment and I'm in work, but I have an office based job; I guess you don't?

You can go for walks; find something that's interests you and take this time to read up on it/educate yourself; start a video blog; research tasty healthy recipes to make for when you feel like eating crap (flapjacks/oatmeal cookies are great!); watch a whole tv series you missed; call friends; skype friends abroad; take up spinning/hit a crosstrainer; visit friends; invite friends over; do an online cuorse; learn a language...
