Dentist up north recommendation for veneers?

    Hi,

I'm looking to get two veneers on upper teeth numbers 7 and 10 (teeth both sides of my front two teeth.)
I have had a few quotes from different dentists around dublin the best being €450 each including a full cleaning.

Alot of people are recommending heading up north as they are more then likely cheaper.
Just wondering does anyone know of any dentists up there that would be cheaper then the above figure or even in and around dublin?

    All help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Richie

450 per veneer is very cheap and you are unlikely to get cheaper up north, especially taking travel and time off into consideration.

However I would question spending 450 on a veneer, its really very little (for a veneer) and indicates that the actual veneer will not be of excellent quality, veneers are very tricky restorations to do very well and extremely time consuming and detailed. At the end of the day its your own personal call, however I am sure you have seen veneers at twice that price and more, dont be fooled into thinking a 450 veneer will be the same just cheaper.

Good luck with your search. I can't imagine travelling North from Dublin would be economical given the number of visits required to have veneers indicated and fitted. At the risk of stating the obvious, if you were to pay twice what you have been quoted in Dublin for good veneers that last you ten years, the cost would be €90 per tooth per annum. And we're talking about your TEETH! Having been through the process and seen the time involved, never mind the expertise, I honestly wouldn't consider a practice quoting those kind of prices. Can PM you a Dublin recommendation but not at that price I'm afraid :-(
    Best of luck Richie. E
