Woodies branded paint is made for them by Fleetwood Paints,in Virginia in County Cavan.

Fleetwood make good paint,as we have used Fleetwood (various colours) to paint the interior of our house.:)

Cant comment on the exterior paint,as I havent used it yet.:)

Personally I wouldn't touch it. Used there Kitchen and Bathroom paint to paint the Bathroom. When anyone took a Shower the paint used to run down the Walls. Had to redo the Bathroom again after a couple of Months.

Would not recommend this at all, look out for a trade paint store if u want a good quantity. This will be great for a few weeks and look terrible very quickly.

I tried using the satinwood paint on my doors but three coats later on the first one the finish still wasn't satisfactory so changed to Dulux and two coats was fine. I was painting the doors from scratch.
I wouldn't recommend it. I found the paint to be much thinner than the Dulux satinwood range.

I have to second that, if you're near to a decorator's centre go there for paint. You're less likely to buy crap paint or be ripped off that way. They might not have the range of colours on the shelf that you'd find in a big DIY place but if they're any use they'll make up anything you like on the spot and give good advice too.

I also find own brand paint to be thinner, I'd recomend Leyland or Johnstone.

Good trade piant needs less coats than own brand paint.

It's crap. Very low viscosity and poor coverage. Get to a decent supplier, and for interior work, grab a few ltrs of colour trend. You won't regret it.

Color Trend is the best paint, but extortionate prices for it!

Id also second Leyland, I found it as good as Dulux.

According to Woodies Naas, their own brand exterior paint is Johnstones. Can't confirm this is true and whether they switched from Fleetwood. Johnstone's gloss paint is excellent.

Just because it's made by a brand with a good product doesn't mean it's made to the same spec as that product. Stick to the branded trade centres for paint.

What do you mean by branded trade centres?

Recently just finished 5 rooms in an office with woodies paint (colour change from existing yellow to new grey) it took a min of 4 coats all over, looks well to be honest but it nearly broke my heart, I would agree with the above the coverage isnt great atall.

Had same issue doing the apartment a few months previous. I think Im done with store brand paint at this stage. Yes its cheaper but costs alot more in man hours... depends whats in short supply I guess!

Woodies paint is rubbish. You will need more coats for coverage. I have had a maintenance company years ago and we charged more if the client insisted on us woodies paint. I remember one time the painter had applied 6 coats on top of a white undercoat and it still looked patchy in certain light.

Professional painters can buy woodies paint cheaper than trade paint yet you can never see a real painter buying woodies paint.

I hate to knock an Irish company & I use woodies for some things but own brand paint will never be one
