When you say automotive do you mean static such as car shows or motorsport like track?

Well with that budget I would imagine you'll be looking at something like a 500d. What are you using at the moment?

In that case you're going to have to factor in purchasing a lens too so unless you can get them in a package together.

You will struggle to get good gear at that price, but think second hand - a Canon 400/450D with a 70-200f4L would be in mind, perhaps costing €600-700.

if you are not a pro photographer my recommendation would be:
    Canon 600d body (€417)
All around lens with normal zoom such as Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (€288)
or Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS (€346.45). Tamron A14 AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF) (€172.95) would be a "not bad" choice but it doesn't have image stabilization (they call it vibration compensation).
You can also have a look at Canon EOS 600D + 18-55 IS + 55-250 IS Twin Kit for €614 but with this kit you ll need sometimes change the lens depends where and what you'll be shooting.
