Cloghan lake is hit and miss, but have caught a few out there on lures.Caught loads of rainbows on the fly in Laois Angling Centre. Some spot and Johno the owner will tell you exactly which fly the fish are taking

Looking to go to Cloghan on Saturday myself, let us know how u get on Bayliner :)

Had a good end to the season last year after a poor start so hopefully won't be as bad.

never got a touch of a fish!!! very poor, mate was there on monday got nothing too!!! very few fish showing, think i counted 8 or 9 :(..
i'll be giving it a miss till the weather warms up, must still be out in the deep... most of the few fish i seen come to the surface were out in the middle, there were 11 to 12 fishermen there all day and i seen 5 fish caught all on wets...

Yeah so nothing really to report on Cloghan :( 2 pulls and no hook-ups, from either of us, so a pretty poor day. Nice to get out though but will definately wait until the weather heats up...
