    Are you sure there is one at all?

    A quick google said the it could be behind a blanked off panel in front of the cigarette lighter. It was in a similar location in my passat.

    The same as with every other car without OBD2. They just don't connect anything.

    From my source it looks like there is no OBD2 on 99 megane.
    Socket is the same shape, but it's not compatibile.
    Only renault diagnostics tool can connect to it.

    However I don't guarantee this info is correct. It might not be.

    A diagnostic port or OBD2?

    Both the Megane and the Primera have diagnostic ports but they aren't OBD2 compliant.
