Software for splitting audio file..

    Hi,
    I have some music mixes download which would be one long audio file. I am looking for an app to split them up at certain parts with no space between tracks.

    It would also be nice if the app itself had the ability to burn the cd although it's not a requirement really.

    You don't say what OS you are using but I use AudioSlicer for Mac.

    It finds silences in the track and suggests slicing the files there. You can accept or reject the slice in question. I find it useful because I have interviews where there is often a silence while the interviewee thinks before responding and I don't want the answer split to a separate file :)
