    Hey folks
Quick question im nopt looking for legal advice or anything just wondering who i should call about the below Solicitor or Insurance company ,
The OH was in a tiny accident about 2 months back, a car without indicating cut across into her lane ,she barley touched the back of it,

There was no damge to either car the Garda wheren't called and no insurance details swapped ,The guy tried to blame her at the time and mentioned his wife in the car aleady suffered from spinal injuries that she was klucky no harm was done,My OH said well he should watch where he;s going so and it wasn't her fault,They both went on they way ,

He just took her reg, She can't rember if she gave him her address but somehow this morning a letter arrived ,from your man's solicitor looking for admission of her liability and claming an occupant of the car suffered server injuries and loss of earnings,

Should she ring a solicitor or her insurance company ?

    WHAAAATTTT???

Call the insurance straight away!!! You should NEVER have left it this long....You should ALWAYS call the insurance whether you claim or not. This is a material fact that will almost certainly have an effect on your future NCB.

Give the insurance the letter and let them sort it out. Do not reply to the letter whatever you do. Get your OH to recall as much detail from the accident as possible, and write it down. The insurance will certainly ask for further details.

FWIW, I think yer man's a chancer. But let the insurance sort it out.

Have your wife call her insurance company right now, explain the whole thing and then forward them the letter.

Its a long shot, but see if there were any CCTV cameras working at the scene of the accident.
Sometimes they keep the footage for a while.

Good idea, but has to be done at the time. Like right away, no putting it off. After two months, chances of footage still being available are slim.
