    Hey:)
have been dying my hair red (like the live xxl colours red but not as vibrant) for 1-2years sometimes by box dye other times by salon.
I really want to go back to medium brown not too dark, but can this be achieved? I dont mind going salon just looking for a salon that will know what there doing. Would like to get some balayage but will I have to wait a bit?
Any help appreciated would like to get it done this week!!
    Thanks :)

Ask in your hairdressers. They'll have a look at it and will tell you straight away if it's possible. You will prob need a patch test before getting it coloured, so keep this in mind.

I was using box dyes for a few years. The L'Oréal blackcurrant one mainly. Semi permanent though, but the colour does hang around. Went to peter mark, got it dyed back to dark brown, with balyage and I love it. I have long hair, took 3.5 hours, so prepare yourself for that!

I used head and shoulders for about a week beforehand to strip the colour build up that was in my hair. Also used a treatment conditioner from the hairdressers a couple of times a week for about 3 weeks before I got the colour done properly. You will need to keep using the treatment after for balayage, the bleach is very harsh on your hair.

You'll have to strip your hair to remove the build up of red. If you decide to DIY it try using colour B4 it does the job.
