Got the car repaired this week after a dopey oul one drove into the side of it.
It needed a new drivers door.only problem now is the one touch electric window doesn't work....tried setting it with the on board computer but no joy.

First world problem I know but does anyone know what the crack is here and how to fix it?

Common problem when the battery goes dead or window regulator is disconnected, had a similar problem this week on my own Audi.

I googled it and there were various methods of resetting it,such as push button until window goes all way down and hold it down for 10secs,the pull till it goes all way up and hold for 10 secs - another one was pull switch up till you hear a click and then let it down.Varrying attempts and a combo of above methods eventually got it working again for me.

Basically the problem is the car doesn't know 'where' the window is anymore in terms of how far down or up it is and you just have to re teach it where the total up and total down positions are.

It happens me the odd time on my car, the reset procedure is even in the owner's manual, it's very similar to the above one for the audi - put the keys in the ignition, put the window all the way down, then all the way up and hold it there for 5 seconds. I'd love to be able to have this feature on all my windows, not just the driver's one :)
