This is not a prank post :o

That is the battle damaged bike in the picture below - wrote it off in a crash over the weekend.

It might be useful to someone for various Shimano Sora spare parts - the main components are ok- apart from the right shifter was was knocked out of place but still seems to be working.

The full specs of the bike can be found on the Giant website (Giant Defy 3 2012)- http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/defy.3/9014/48855/#specifications

    Only changes are:
Bottom bracket was changed to Shimano BB-4600 Tiagra Bottom Bracket Cups (British standard) - End of January
Chain: SRAM PC991 9 Speed Chain - added in mid January.
Tyres - basic Continental Grand Prix- added late December or early January.

If you need better pictures...let me know and I'll add some more here.

Price €150- buyer (if any) must collect from me in Waterford.

On initial inspection they appear to be ok but I am far from being an expert.

Based on the OPs other thread describing the crash that wrote this off (rear ending a car) and the damage visible in the framefrom probably that same impact I would steer well clear of them.

Sorry OP if this seems like thread spoiling, as it's not intended to be, but moving those parts without those details disclosed would be all kinds of dodgy, and could even expose you to risk should anything happen to a buyer using them

Are you sure you want to do this?

It's only a little over 24 hours since you crashed and banged your head! Why don't you think about it before you do something you'll regret? You could pick up a new carbon frame from someone like Dolan or Planet-X for a few hundred quid and transfer all your components to it.

Your price of €150 is also way too cheap for a full groupset, finishing kit and Conti GP tyres (all almost new) even if the wheels are damaged which they may not be!

This op, if I was you I'd be picking up another Alu or a carbon frame and swapping everything over. I'd have an LBS check the wheels just to be sure they are ok but I'd scrap the fork with the frame because it might seem ok now but the sort of impact that did that to the frame will surely have caused serious structural damage to a carbon fork!

And even if you did sell, the groupset alone is worth more than €150!

Ok..thanks for all the feedback..I might of been a bit knee jerk in my reactions.

I never even thought of the new frame option and switching the components over.

    I'll close this for now.
