fence painting

    what is the best way to paint a fence. Either spraying or hand painting.

    Spraying takes about 10% of the time but uses more "paint" in my experience.
    However you need to really worry about overspray

    Mini gloss roller brush and also a small tapered paint brush.

    Nice way to relax and enjoy the nice weather.:)

    Does it have to be one of them special sprayers you can get in b&Q or could I use one of them thing you use for killing weeds etc that goes on your back

    Have done shiplap fence panels ( 1.8 x 1.8 meters) the exact same way....mini roller and with a larger brush (3 inch)

    You dont use that much paint/stain..but it takes longer.

    Less messy too,no overspray blowing in the breeze onto other parts of the garden or a neighbours property.;)

    well I have three house to paint there fences so I really don't want to be at it long
