    got it , good book , just wondering what everyone here does. I know different types of guys do it differently like wrestlers do it different from bjjers etc

    sounds like you're talking about directed weight loss and weigh cutting at the same time. focused weight loss would start 6-8 weeks if not earlier for a fight depending, an weight cut would be final 36-48 hours to cut water to make weight.
