    Hi
I am trying to source a pt 1000 sensor .external air temp for a solar system . My installer no longer trades in his former guise so holds so responsibility and so far has been of little assistance. The sensor was installed with entry facing up to rain and has been compromised going from interruption to wildly high/incorrect readings .
The sensor is connected to a pro-solar ps310 solar controller .Any help in locating same would be appreciated

I'm fairly certain that any PT1000 sensor will do the job.

i had the same issue with my sensor giving wildly fluctuating/incorrect values over the past few years. took a long time to figure out that it was the sensor as everyone i spoke with was adamant that the sensor couldn't give problems. I eventually replaced it with a standard pt1000 sensor and haven't had any issues since. you just need to be sure that it is an outdoor sensor rather than an indoor one for the tanks

i'm curious - are you taking steps to be sure that you don't experience the same problem with the new sensor with rain ingression?

I managed to get a repair on the original sensor '' had to get young eyed apprentice to remake solder '' ,corrosion on sensor connections to board. Also the installer managed to get me a replacement and posted on to me . The senor was originally fitted upside down hence the trouble , that has been corrected .
