I searched and didnt find anything so I hope that this hasnt been done before... Apologies mods if you have to delete threads like this on a daily basis.

I humbly propose that boardsies take a picture of their bookshelf and pop it up here; for the edification of your fellow members of course! :pac:

Ill get started anyway. I just did a very, very basic cleanup of my shelves so I took a picture. Be gentle guys, I dont think my books are all that heavy in content...

This idea is so cool! I don't have a huge collection like some of you I'd say but I'll post up mine when I get home. I do have about 100 books on the Kindle does that count haha!

I can't really see the names or authors of a lot of your books there but I too have Rubicon and am a Stephen King fan.

I can also make out what I think may be Conn Igguldon? I love his stuff. Also some Classics (lying on their side, blue covers) :) Seems to be plenty of historical fiction too?

Will try to post mine tomorrow.

I moved house recently and I have no room for all of my books. This is about a third of my collection. Sorry about the picture quality.

A few Law books in the top-left there :) Good collection, nice mix of 'heavy' and 'light' reading.

Ah yeah, although there's a fair bit of dust on them at the moment. :P

Classics, cuddly teddies, candles and laughing Buddhas. Now that's a god damn library!

Sorry for being so nosey, but what's the large orange/black hardback on the middle shelf? It caught my eye straight away.

Not being nosey at all! It's the Norton Anthology to English Literature. It's full of poetry and short stories from I think the 16th Century.

Thanks! I love my little bits on my bookcase, I have tea lights all over my room, I made the ones with glitter myself!

My eye was immediately drawn to the Norton as well, obviously an English Literature undergrad at some stage.

Top shelf right in the middle, face looks like Gollum, what book is that?

On the right of the dictionary in the middle shelf, is that something that came free with the Times or something, I think I have Edna O'Brien's In the Forest from that collection.

Hard to make out the books in all the pictures, very interesting idea though, I love looking at peoples bookshelves.

Top right book is the complete works of T S Eliot. The item beside the dictionary is a mask from Venice.

Yeh big fan! Cant get enough hard boiled at the moment.

Conn Igguldon? No, cant say I'm acquainted with him. There is a fair bit of historical fiction alright, particularly in the form of the flashman series. And you absolutely cant beat the classics!

I would if I could but I have probably a thousand books scattered all over the house in various rooms and hallways and under beds and on top of wardrobes, so no single "library", per se.

It's a deep bookshelf so there's books behind those ones too.

Looks like you've been in my house, taken some of the books from my shelves and put them on yours :)

John Connolly, Michael Connolly, Karin Slaughter, John Grisham, Harlen Coben, Patricia Cornwall and Terry Pratchett all feature heavily on my shelves. Like you I also have my books stacked two deep. :)

I''m living away from home at the moment. My current 'library' consists of about 15 books. My one at home has about another 50 or so in it. It also houses my DVD and CD collections. I only have half a shelf left to put things on.
