dublin-accomodation and places too go

    im planning on staying in dublin one night soon and i wouldnt know it well atall even though im only over an hour away,ive been up shopping and getting the dart but thats about it.
    any suggestions for a nice but not too expensive place too stay in in the city centre close too restaurants,night life and shops and still within reach of the touristy attractions too see!
    also any nice affordable places too eat or any other reccomendations welcome! thanx

    Hotel cheap and central - http://www.pearsehotel.com/
    walking distance to shops and temple bar.

    temple bar - you will find loads of restaurants (look for ones that do an early bird) most of the restaurants are nice there, and loads of bars and night clubs.
