I am looking at a few VW cars, and was wondering if any owners of VW Bluemotion cars could give me their opinions on this engine and if the figures for MPG is anywhere near what they are actually achieving?

    Cheers.

1.4tsi Passat - 7.5l per 100. No idea what VW claim, I never pay attention to manufacturers figures.

    Golf 2.0TDi 5.9l/100km for about 60% motorway/20%urban/20% N-Road.

    Thanks folks.

Funny how mileage has changed a lot now to measuring how many litres to do 100km/miles, whereas I still try to measure/calculate mine in MPG.

    All feedback welcomed though.

48mpg give or take on mine then...I have a really heavy foot and it's company diesel. If I was paying for it out of my own pocket, I'm sure it'd probably be mid 50's

48mpg for someone with a heavy foot is pretty good!

6.6l/100km out my last tank, Passat 1.6TDI. All city driving, the cold weather seems to kick up a little as well.

Drove through the UK last summer and managed to get ~5l/100km, all motorway driving though.
