    Hi

I'm currently in my final year in maynooth and one of our assignments is to make a business plan of a new business we would set up in maynooth.

So as I don't live in maynooth, I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone had any ideas of need for a new business in maynooth,

We're not allowed franchisee so Subway is out of the question.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cinema.
    Subway (oops).

There hasn't been a decent menswear shop (e.g. not tat or mentally priced) in years.

We're utterly full of pharmacies, coffee shops, restaurants, newsagents anyway.

Thanks a lot are doing the cinema so we wanted to do something different.

We considered a funeral home, grinds schools which uses students from nui maynooth to give the grinds.

    Bike shop
I would be thinking a little different if I was you .
Maynooth has a lot of students and a lot of old people .
Do you have a particular area of general interest ?
    Music/comics/food/animals/kids /anything

Vintage clothes shop? Old-fashioned sweet shop?

At least two shops in the town have tried selling old-fashioned sweets. Its extremely low margin and very faddish (and probably beyond the end of its fad, too).

Does it have to be a shop? A business right? How about a garage/motor dealers?

Already a grinds school above the coffee mill where most of the grind teachers are NUIM students.

    Mexican food!
    Irish language cafe.
    Cash converter.
Pop up shop / charity shop... premises that can be hired out by various organisations to use as a second hand shop for a short period of time to raise funds. Would be up to tenants to staff it.
    Crazy golf.....
