Cleaning wax off tiles

I've discovered a spill of candle wax on the marble tiles near my bin. The other half was throwing out the burnt wax after extinguishing the candle and some of it splashed on the floor.

He didn't clean it up straight away and it's been on our tiles kitchen floors and grout for a week.

Hot soapy water just "cleaned" it, didn't lift it.

    Any help here boardsies?

How can I get it off the floor? Tiles are non polished by the way so not smooth.

Personally I'd take a good wedge of kitchen paper, 3 or 4 sheets thick, place it over the affected area and then place a hot iron over it, moving it around a bit. The heat will melt the wax and the kitchen paper should soak it up. Replace the paper a few times until it's all gone. Depending on how bad the spill is, it might also be an idea to carefully scrape the worst of it off first with a scraper, like you can get for cleaning ceramic hobs.

If the wax is coloured, you might still have a little bit of discolouration left depending on how porous the marble is.

    Surgical spirits or white spirits.
