Anyone know how to easily remove the boot button on a 05 Megane 11 saloon, have an intermittant locking / unlocking problem, want to take switch out to inspect & clean the contacts if possible, water is known to get into these seemingly

Was poking around with a screwdriver but nothing seemed to be happening & didn't want to do any damage

    Thanks

You have to remove the plastic lower part of the boot from the inside.

Are you talking about the lining, and then remove the switch towards / into the boot? Thought it may prise outwards & then just push & clip back into place

Weird, I seem to remember one at work where the bottom half of the boot door was removed for this.

Looking at this PDF it seems you can just prise it off...

That's great, looks like screwdriver, masking tape & some patience should do the job, thank you, you're a gent :)
