Think the streaming should be via TG4, at least the commentary will still be as gaeilge.
I watched club finals before in Chicago and a league final in Thailand. Both were broadcast the same as home

TG4 is now blocking broadcasts abroad so pay per view setanta is your only option online.

The Irish commentary is some joke.
OP asked for help re watching a game in Portugal. The only time I did, I travelled to an Irish pub in Albufuera to watch Setanta, but that was a long time ago. I don't know what the current situation is, and I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
One poster helpfully mentioned TG4, and the moment he did another poster jumped in to drag the thread off topic by expressing antagonism to TG4. I have occasionally watched rugby on the Welsh language channel, despite knowing about ten words of Welsh. Does that make SC4 a joke? If I watch soccer on a Polish channel, not understanding a word, does that mean that Polish tv is a joke? Before TG4 existed, you wouldn't have got these games on the radio. Bigotry is a double-edged sword.

OP here. I mean I love boards, its great, but sometimes the off topic stuff seriously wrecks my head. I would have nearly needed to have put some conditions in my opening post to avoid all the sh1te.

As stated by previous poster, The simple question I asked was : when abroad what channel would possibly show the all ireland club finals on paddys day

Then it just turns in to utter b0ll0x about our ability to speak Irish etc

Premier Sports (what Setanta is called in the UK) are showing it, so Setanta is probably your best bet.

Stop whingeing, throw on TG4 and if you want English commentary tune in to Willie Hegarty on Shannonside FM!

OP theres a pub at the bottom of the strip in Albufeira, I cant remember the name but its beside Paulu's restaurant, its not actually an Irish bar but he shows EVERY GAA game, I even caught a Roscommon v Kildare hurling game there last year.

You mean the same Shannonside that cuts to a Leitrim u12 soccer game midway through the second half of a league game? :pac:

A huge problem everyone who has tried to sync a radio feed and a television up is that if you're primarily a Sky or UPC or any other satellite (and given they supersede Saorview there's not a whole lot of reason for someone to have a Saorview box and a pay-TV box) the latency means the radio is ahead of the broadcast on the screen no matter what you do. You're asking the consumer to provide a service the station should be, at least if it wants to maximise the value of its sporting rights. Irish would still be the primary langauge so I really doubt it would break their broadcasting license to offer a second feed. TG4 don't even offer subtitles on its round-up shows on Mondays which cover games you can't see anywhere else and that's an even easier to fix problem that they don't address.

This is a real issue for the GAA that's been brought up for years - you can't happily exit the shop window of the main, English langauge stations for two-thirds of the year is faintly ridiculous for the biggest sporting organisation in the country.

And yes, whatever anyone thinks about it emotionally, the langauge issue it is an impediment to a lot of people and giving casual supporters an extra reason not to bother is not going to help the sport in any way whatsoever.

I see your point about the latency, I live well outside shannonsides broadcast area so I generally listen online which is behind the tv coverage and use sky plus to match them up. Not everyone has sky plus but thats how I work it!

Some good soul is due to stream Down v Mayo tonight I see, so maybe the same person might show the club finals.

There has been very little GAA streaming on the site we all know is best for finding streams this league season.
