That sounds pretty hardcore. Anyone got a map of it, might keep it for a spin the next time I'm home.

Thanks. The only bit I've ridden of this is the section from Dungloe to Falcarragh. It's ok, until Errigal, which is really tough, then fast down hill, but the left turn to go around Muckish to Falcarragh is really, really steep. That's pretty hardcore for so early in the year.

You wouldn't know if there is a requirement for a one day license at this and if its available at sign on?

Daft question but is this a scenic route? (it's about 18 years since I've been in Donegal.)

    Hi all,

Can this be done with only turbo training during the winter?

Would love to do it but I don't think I have enough miles due.:(

I'm thinking I'd really like to do this. Even just to see the roads, I've very little experience of Donegal....

    Bloody far away though. :(

It's worth it when you get there and it never rains all day everyday but it does rain everyday.

Would love to do it, have been to Donegal a good few times but always hiking, never cycled there.
Can do in under 5hrs from near Clonmel but that is still one overnight and one very long day after to get back.

Anyone know if this is still going ahead what with the recent weather forecasts for the weekend? Have emailed the organising club and am waiting on a reply.

the weather forecasts are a bit variable (in terms of how high the snow line will be ) cant see it been anything but a last minute call tbh.

    looks dry for sunday !

oops forgot this was on saturday :o

any of you planning on doing this. Was hoping to drive from Dublin tomorrow, kip near Termon and drive back on Sat night.

The weather looks like it could be bad, might be better off saving the time and petrol and doing a 'Solo' sportive in Wicklow.

Was looking forward to it as spend a bit of time up there but rarely any cycling

Unfortunately "The Hills" event has been cancelled due to the severe weather forecast for the weekend up here lads but Errigal CC are hoping to run it off in the next few weeks. Did this last year and it's a fantastic route & challenge. Don.t miss out when it comes around again, you won't be disappointed.
