Hi all,I have a wee bit of a car problem, all advice would be gratefully received.
Well all the sensible stuff anyway :).
I have a car that is registered in Northern Ireland, its currently off road,I filled in S O R N notification last year.
However I will be needing to put it back on the road shortly and the thing is how do I do that when I cant tax it without an MOT, however if I drive it to the centre to get it MOTed and our friendly neighbour coppers stop me what happens then?.
It will be insured but ..........

You need to pre book at your MOT centre
    If your MOT has expired
If your MOT has expired you can’t drive your vehicle on the road until it’s passed the test. You could be prosecuted if caught.

The only exception is if you’ve already booked an MOT and are driving your vehicle to the test centre.
