I am playing with the idea of changing my 07 Saab 9-5 for a 05 Lexus GS300 at the moment. Am I mad to do so? Only have the saab about 6 months but have not really fallen for it . Could I expect a straight on near as straight trade from a dealer.

Not a hope of a straight swap imo, dealers are in business to make money so even if the Saab was worth more than the GS they would still want some money their way I'd imagine as they have to warranty the GS and prep the Saab for resale.
