    Hi again!

Along with the alloy 25mm seatpost listed on Boards I'm also looking for friction bar end shifters and Mafac or similar cantilevers brakes. It's for a 1988 Aluminium Alan Super. Any other suitable vintage parts out there? Brendan

Hi Brendan,I have a 25mm Corima carbon seatpin brand new, I also have Weinmann or Mafac cantilevers, and I think I have an old pair of Dura Ace bar end shifters maybe 7 or 8 speed. I'll have another look later to confirm.

    Hi Columbus,

Thanks for the reply, that sounds interesting.

I think the Mafac and Weinmann were similar with 2 plates on each side. If the levers are 6 or 7 speed I imagine they'll have an option for friction.

Would the carbon be out of era for me?

    Best wishes,

    Brendan

    Hi Brendan,

1x full set of Weinmann canti's from the 80's.
1x set of Shimano bar end levers sl-bs79 which are 8 or 9 speed compatible.
    1x Look Ergopost3 25mm carbon, modern looking.

I also have a set of Simplex downtube gear levers.

You can call over to have a look if you want.

    Columbus.

    Hi Columbus,

They're perfect - do you have the springs too?

Also you might send me a price on the bar end shifters and even the 25mm seatpost.

Thanks again, the project is coming together quicker than I thought!

    Brendan
